Overview
A flyer can be regarded as a single page, pamphlet or leaflet that is used to convey a message to a particular audience. Flyers are often handed out in public, distributed at a particular event or location, or plastered on numerous fixtures in an attempt to garner attention and communicate a message. Particular computer software has allowed the typical computer owner to generate a flyer at minimal cost when designed and printed on a small scale.
Applications
Given its simple size and format (typically standard paper size), flyers can be easily distributed in mass. One can easily recall flyers being passed out on sidewalks, universities, and even door-to-door. In fact, it is quite common for a neighborhood to be inundated with flyers passed out by local businesses, realtors, and/or community news information. Despite the blanketing of neighborhoods and businesses with various flyers, many prospects are made aware of a particular good and/or service by this advertising method.
Conventional advertising can be an expensive burden for many who cannot afford to spend the money on expensive newspaper ads, or television and/or cable ads. Flyers can be a cheap alternative to communicating one
